The tree expert has the technical knowledge to diagnose trees and design stand management systems.

Permits for the removal of trees and shrubs are of primary importance for ensuring the proper protection of tree canopies. In order to obtain a permit, a set of documents must be prepared and submitted to the relevant office; afterwards, you obtain a decision issued by the city, town or commune mayor.

How can a forester, or a tree expert, help?

The procedure for issuing the decision is initiated at the request of the person applying for a permit. The application should include information such as:

• details of the person submitting the application and of the property owner,
• notarial deed of property ownership,
• name of the tree or shrub species,
• tree trunk measurements,
• land use,
• reasons for the removal of the tree or shrub,
• the size of the area from which the trees and shrubs are to be removed.

The application must be accompanied by a drawing or map indicating the location of the tree or shrub in relation to the boundaries of the property and structures existing or under construction on the property; if the applicant is not the owner or perpetual usufructuary of the property, the application must also include the owner’s consent to remove the tree or shrub.
